Deal validation process

Chivalry is dead… but that doesn’t mean coupon codes should be.

We follow a rigid internal verification process by which each deal is validated three separate times during the publication process:

Once by our partnership managers when the deal is negotiated with the brand to ensure it’s valid
Once by our coupon creators when it’s added to the backend of our website
Once again by our content managers or coupon managers after it has been posted live on the website

This includes reviewing the terms and conditions of the deal that match the code we supply and that the code functions as stated in the terms and conditions.

Therefore, we have a compliance team to ensure deals stay up-to-date and verified.

Our compliance team uses sophisticated technology to monitor all the deals that are live on our website. That’s a fancy way of saying we have a dashboard where we can see when deals were last validated and when they are set to expire, and also get updates on when certain offers were last used successfully. All of this allows us to keep tabs on our offers and update them accordingly.

We always upload valid deals. We also aim to promptly remove expired deals or update them with new valid offers within 24 hours of expiration. In many cases when users reach out, the deals they report are currently in the process of being updated.

More commonly, we see instances where our deals are valid but don’t work due to user error. For this, we have a list of troubleshooting tips that we recommend reviewing before contacting our team.

Check the coupon code you entered: Many times, depending on the website where you use the coupon, the code is case-sensitive. This means that you must check that the code you enter exactly matches our code and includes the upper and lower case letters and ensure you don’t have an erroneous additional character – like a space.
Check the terms and conditions: Terms and conditions are super annoying, but all coupon codes have them. Many times the terms and conditions stipulate things like what type of products are excluded from the offer, a minimum purchase amount required for using the coupon, and more. Always check that your shopping cart matches the terms and conditions found on the coupon code.
The website in question has a technical issue: We keep a really close eye on our coupon codes and there have been rare cases where the brand website has a technical issue and their coupons aren’t working. We recommend contacting the customer service or chat team on the website in question to ask them to manually approve the deal for you.
